His father Krishnaraj Rai, was a marine engineer, and mother Vrinda Rai, was a writer. She has a brother by name Aditya. She got married to Abhishek Bachchan on April 20 2007 the event is covered by the media unprecedently. Now she is the daughter in law of living Legend Amitabh Bachchan.
